Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a charitable organization whose membership is comprised of attorneys, doctors, insurance adjusters, Judges of Compensation Claims, claims administrators, rehabilitation providers and others whose primary employment is connected within Florida’s Workers’ Compensation system. Throughout the year we put our differences aside and raise scholarship funds to aid students who lack the economic ability to continue their education beyond high school or to further their college education.

Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. has been in existence since 1991, and since then we have awarded 651 scholarships that total $1,322,425 which has been used to assist qualified college students achieve their educational goals.

In 2012 we awarded $67,650  in scholarship funds to 43 applicants throughout Florida.

The number of scholarships awarded each year is directly related to the amount of funds available.  Therefore, raising funds is an important activity for this non-profit corporation.  Various fund-raising projects are undertaken each year throughout the State of Florida. Corporate and individual donations are welcomed.

Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization recognized by the IRS as an organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
